Abstract
La Acupresión es una técnica de presión física sobre puntos específicos para mejorar la salud y bienestar. Está considerada como parte de la medicina complementaria y alternativa para beneficiar la función gastrointestinal en pacientes pos operados de cirugía abdominal y complementar el cuidado en los pacientes. La presente investigación secundaria titulada “Beneficios del método de acuprensión sobre la función gastrointestinal en pacientes pos operados de cirugía abdominal”, tuvo como objetivo identificar los beneficios del método de acuprensión sobre la función gastrointestinal en pacientes pos operados de cirugía abdominal. La pregunta clínica fue: ¿Cuáles son los beneficios de la acuprensión sobre la función gastrointestinal en pacientes pos operados de cirugía abdominal? Se utilizó la metodología Enfermería Basada en Evidencia (EBE). La búsqueda de información se realizó en MEDLINE y PUBMED, encontrando 973 artículos, siendo seleccionados 25 sólo x pasaron la lista de comprobación de Gálvez Toro, seleccionándose finalmente la Revisión Sistemática: Estimulación del punto de acupuntura PC6 de la muñeca para prevenir las náuseas y vómitos postoperatorios. Se evaluó con la guía de comprobación de CASPE posee un nivel de evidencia I A según la Jerarquía propuesta por la Canadian Task Force . El comentario crítico permitió concluir que la acuprensión es eficaz en acúmulo de gases, náuseas, vómitos y dolor abdominal posoperatorios pudiéndose emplear como tratamiento complementario en el cuidado de enfermería.
