Abstract
Ce mémoire de création comporte trois parties. La premières partie met l'emphase sur la situation de mon travail pictural par rapport à l'histoire de l'art et démontre ses referents esthétiques et historiques tels que le rococo, le baroque et le surréalisme. La seconde partie énonce les diverses préoccupations propres à mes créations. Elle est davantage théorique et met la lumière sur le fond du sujet de ma recherche : le camouflage de la laideur par l'ornement, ce terme désignant la mort, la maladie et leurs références. La troisième et dernière partie décrit explicitement l'exposition Séduction Décorative, son ambiance, son univers chromatique, ses sujets ainsi que l'esthétique des diverses oeuvres picturales qui y sont présentées.
