Abstract
Membro del Programma di ricerca di Rilevante Interesse Nazionale (PRIN) 2008 Atlante delle città fondate in Italia dal tardo Medioevo al Novecento. Parte Prima: Italia centro-meridionale ed insulare, l’A. ha coordinato le ricerche relative alle città fondate nell’Ottocento e nel primo ventennio del Novecento nell’Italia centrale, quando borghi e città di nuova fondazione si rivelano strumenti di una vasta politica territoriale ed economica, di bonifica e di controllo, oltre che di legame con le attività produttive che portano alla formazione di agglomerati operai, protoindustriali, ma anche turistici. Lo studio della documentazione rinvenuta durante la ricerca è ora oriento all’elaborazione di un saggio sulla vicenda urbana e architettonica dell’insediamento toscano fondato esattamente un secolo fa.
