Abstract
A scuba-diving treasure hunter says he found the hall of fame ring belonging to former hockey star Dick Gamble in one of New York's Finger Lakes.Gary Gavurnik was diving in Canandaigua (kan-un-DAY'-gwuh) Lake on Fourth of July weekend when he came across the ring.He says he'll give it back to Gamble, who's 88 years old now.The American Hockey League says Gamble ordered a replacement ring several years ago.Gamble starred for the Rochester Americans and retired in the 1969-70 season.He was inducted into the American Hockey League Hall of Fame in 2007.He played parts of eight NHL seasons with the Montreal Canadiens, Toronto Maple Leafs and Chicago Blackhawks.
