Abstract
У раду се посматра положај Рудника и његове околине као дела северне пограничне територије средњовековне Србије према Угарској од краја 12. века, затим смена угарске, византијске и бугарске власти изнад северних граница Србије од последњих деценија 12. до 30-их година 13. века, као и положај Рудника у померањима српске границе до Саве и Дунава током 13. и 14. века. Рад је писан у контексту српско-угарских односа у наведеном периоду и угарских претензија на просторе јужно од Саве и Дунава. Детаљније су обрађени походи угарских краљева у време краља и цара Душана и цара Уроша који су претили Руднику и допирали до области рудничких планина.
