Abstract
"El artículo describe el caso clínico de la separación de la sínfisis mandibular ocasionada por trauma automovilístico, en un canino macho de raza labrador retriver de 1.5 años de edad y su resolución quirúrgica a través de la técnica de transfijación con clavo de steinmann y cerclaje circunferencial de la sínfisis mandibular; cuya opción quirúrgica se convierte para el médico veterinario en una herramienta sencilla, práctica y de bajo costo, permitiendo establecer un pronóstico muy bueno y con una optima recuperación de los movimientos mandibulares funcionales."
