Työntekijöiden kokemuksia tunnetaitojen harjoittelusta työpaikalla

Abstract
Työelämässä yhdeksi keskeiseksi työelämätaidoksi ovat nousseet tunnetaidot, koska tarvitsemme kykyjä tunnistaa ja ymmärtää sekä omia että toisten tunteita myös työpaikalla. Tunnetaidot on tutkimuksissa yhdistetty esimerkiksi yhteistyökykyyn ja yksilön suorituskykyyn. Tunnetaitoja on mahdollista kehittää aikuisena oppimisen ja kokemuksien kautta, ja tämän tutkimuksen tarkoituksena on tarkastella työntekijöiden tunnetaitojen oppimista ja harjoittelua työpaikalla osana tunneinterventiota. Tutkimuksessa on käytetty laadullista videoaineistoa tunnetaitojen kehittämiseen tähtäävistä työpajoista, jotka ovat osa Jyväskylän yliopiston kasvatustieteiden laitoksella toteutettua TUNTO-hankkeen tunneinterventiota. Tutkimuksen kohteena olivat työntekijöille ja heidän esimiehelleen järjestettyjen tunneintervention työpajojen videoinnit. Videoaineiston litteroinneista analysoitiin sisällönanalyysin keinoin tunnetaitojen harjoittelemista ja oppimista koskevat keskustelut. Työpajoihin osallistuneet kokivat tietoisen läsnä olemisen harjoittelun työpaikallaan myönteisesti ja työtä edistävästi, kun taas myönteisen palautteen antaminen ja vastaanottaminen koettiin haastavaksi. Tunnetaitojen harjoittelussa koettiin olennaiseksi tilanteenlukutaito, kun tunnetaitoja piti soveltaa työn arjen tilanteissa. Työpajojen ja tunnetaitoharjoitusten kautta osallistujat kokivat, että heidän tietoisuutensa tunteista lisääntyi ja he arvioivat omien tunteidensa käsittelyn kehittyneen. Lisäksi he kertoivat havainneensa tunnetaitojen merkityksen vuorovaikutuksessa. Itsetietoisuuden ulottuvuuden kehittyminen korostui aineistossa ja se näyttäytyy myös aikaisemmissa tutkimuksissa tärkeänä elementtinä ja kulmakivenä tunnetaitojen kehittymiselle.
