Terra do Silêncio é sobre gente da terra, sobre fragmentos de memórias que sobreviveram ao esquecimento do tempo. É uma viagem pelos cheiros, sabores, texturas e tradições madeirenses que sobrevivem ainda nas zonas mais rurais e inaudíveis. É um apontamento de uma pesquisa de como se vivia em outros tempos, com os mesmos cantares, mas com outras gentes, que fazem agora parte da (minha) história madeirense. Parto da vontade de deixar escrito uma cultura rica no seu imaginário popular e criativa na sua sobrevivência, enquanto povo que muita dificuldade viveu. É um trabalho que resultou na criação de uma peça coreográfica, levando a palco todo o pensamento sobre os três principais territórios: geográficos, físicos e materiais. É sobre fotografias paradas no tempo, é sobre o tempo atual com revisão do passado. É sobre o real e o mundo do fantástico.
