Resumen: Constitución es un barrio localizado en el área central de la CABA y de alta conectividad, con notoria presencia de hoteles pensión, casas ocupadas, población migrante y de bajos ingresos y una densa trama de organizaciones sociales, sindicales, cooperativas, culturales y religiosas. Presenta tendencias de renovación urbana y gentrificación inducidas por la política pública y la inversión en infraestructuras (remodelación de plaza Constitución, estación ferroviaria y linderos de autopista). La Facultad de Ciencias Sociales (FSOC) de la Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA) se trasladó en forma progresiva al barrio a partir de 2007 y completó la mudanza de sus carreras a inicios de 2015.\nEn este marco, el proyecto UNEBA-PIDAE estudia la inserción de la FSOC en las dinámicas socio urbanas del barrio, con el fin de establecer los modos en los que su presencia interactúa con el contexto barrial y aportar al fortalecimiento de mecanismos de relación con la comunidad y actores barriales relevantes. Para ello, indaga las percepciones del entramado organizativo, vecinos residentes y estudiantes de la Facultad acerca de las tendencias de reconfiguración barrial, los perfiles socio habitacionales de la población residente, las principales problemáticas identificadas y el papel de la FSOC en la dinámica barrial.
