Resumen: Los cantos XIII a XXIV de la Odisea narran cómo, después de 20 años de ausencia, el rey de Ítaca se hace presente en su reino. Fiel a su metis, su inteligencia multiforme, Odiseo recurre al disfraz de mendigo (en realidad a la transformación obrada por la diosa de la sabiduría) y pide ser hospedado por los suyos en su propia casa. Esta estrategia, tan opuesta a la de Agamenón, se revelará muy eficaz para entrar en contacto con los que habitan su casa, conocer su corazón y ejecutar su venganza. Este trabajo se propone explorar las correspondencias y divergencias de este texto con la teología bíblica de la encarnación. En Jesús de Nazaret se hace presente el Señor del universo y de la historia, largamente esperado. Pero en este Mesías, en este Cristo, este ungido, Dios se presenta, muy significativamente, también de modo velado, “en disfraz” y, según un plan diseñado por su sabiduría, pide ser hospedado en sus propios dominios.
