Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

The United States is trying to broker an agreement between a host of nations to prohibit unregulated fishing in the international waters of the Arctic Ocean. An agreement to ban Arctic fishing in international waters is being organized by the United States. The agreement would be binding and would include more countries than the non-binding agreement the U.S., Norway, Denmark, Russia, and Canada signed in 2015.U.S. special representative for the Arctic, Admiral Robert Papp says the agreement would prevent fishing in the area until scientists can determine sustainable methods.Papp says the U.S. would like to get countries like China, Korea, Japan, and members of the European Union on board with the fishing shutdown......and adds that an agreement is most likely a couple of years away.More than 200 species of fish live in the Arctic Ocean, some of which have commercial value -- like the Arctic cod.The countries that signed the non-binding agreement in 2015 agreed not to fish in the area until international fishing management measures are in place for the Arctic Ocean.

Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
