Abstract
El presente trabajo, trata de exponer la realidad económica, en la que se desenvuelve un grupo de comerciantes, al momento de ser regularizados en un Centro de Comercio o Mercado Municipal. Actualmente, el sector comercial Comité del Pueblo es un punto de comercio importante al norte de la ciudad de Quito. Antes de la implantación del centro del comercio en el sector, existía una gran cantidad de ventas ambulantes en las calles principales del sector, lo que generaba desorden, insalubridad, tráfico e inseguridad, obligando al Ilustre Municipio de Quito a construir un “Centro de Comercio en el Comité del Pueblo” para realizar la reubicación de los comerciantes ambulantes. Esta reubicación causó inconformidad por parte de los comerciantes del sector ya que antes de su implementación, los comerciantes aseguran que sus ventas eran mayores a las actuales, además de ello han tenido que realizar su regularización tributaria e invertir en adecuaciones a sus negocios por lo que han tenido pérdidas económicas. El análisis tratará de cuantificar los ingresos de los comerciantes, determinar cuál ha sido su nivel de ahorro, identificar si cuenta con financiamiento y si están al día en sus pagos, entre otros factores sociales y económicos que ayudarán a determinar la realidad de la economía familiar de los comerciantes.
