A grandes rasgos, esta Tesis Doctoral se propone investigar el efecto de la analiticidad en el campo de los sistemas dinámicos continuos reales en dimensión 2, es decir, qué fenómenos dinámicos aparecen cuando la función que define un sistema de este tipo es analítica. Más concretamente, este trabajo trata de avanzar en la investigación de la naturaleza topológica de los flujos asociados a campos de vectores analíticos reales sobre superficies con los siguientes cuatro objetivos.\n\n\t\t\t\t OBJETIVO 1. La clasificación topológica de los atractores globales inestables para flujos asociados a campos de vectores polinómicos en el plano.\n\n\t\t\t\t OBJETIVO 2. La caracterización topológica de los conjuntos omega-límite para flujos asociados a campos de vectores analíticos reales en abiertos de la esfera y el plano proyectivo.\n\n\t\t\t\t OBJETIVO 3. La caracterización topológica de los conjuntos periódicos límite para familias de flujos asociados a campos de vectores polinómicos en el plano.\n\n\t\t\t\t OBJETIVO 4. El estudio de los flujos asociados a campos de vectores analíticos en superficies con la propiedad de tener todas sus órbitas densas (los llamados flujos minimales).\n\n\t\t\t\t En cuanto a la metodología, la investigación se ha realizado en el Departamento de Matemáticas de la Universidad de Murcia, bajo la cobertura del grupo de investigación de Sistemas Dinámicos de la Región de Murcia. El autor de la Tesis Doctoral ha participado de forma activa en las actividades de índole científico que desarrolla este grupo y ha ido presentando a la comunidad científica su trabajo en sucesivos congresos (mediante exposiciones orales o la presentación de póster). Al mismo tiempo, el autor de la Tesis ha disfrutado de visitas investigadoras cortas en la Universidad de Toronto en Canadá, en la Universidad de Toulouse en Francia y en el Instituto de Ciencias Matemáticas de Madrid (ICMAT) y dos estancias largas (de cuatro meses cada una) en el propio ICMAT y en la Universidad de Plymouth en Reino Unido. Ésta última estancia permite optar a la Mención de Doctor Internacional. \n\n\t\t\t\t La investigación ha desembocado en la Tesis Doctoral que se presenta, ésta ataca los cuatro anteriores objetivos recopilando trabajos de investigación que el autor de la Tesis ha realizado en colaboración tanto con su director, Víctor Jiménez, como con André Belotto, Daniel Peralta-Salas y Gabriel Soler. \n\n\t\t\t\t En colaboración con Víctor Jiménez, se ha conseguido dar la clasificación topológica completa a la que se refiere el primero de los objetivos de arriba; de igual modo, en colaboración con André Belotto, se ha completado la caracterización topológica que atañe al segundo de los objetivos. En un trabajo conjunto con Daniel Peralta-Salas y Gabriel Soler, se atacó el cuarto de los objetivos, resultando una clasificación completa de todas las superficies orientables y no orientables de género finito que admiten flujos analíticos minimales y presentando un ejemplo de superficie no orientable de género infinito con igual propiedad. Por último, en cuanto al objetivo tercero, y también en colaboración con Víctor Jiménez, se ha conseguido completar la prueba de la caracterización topológica de los conjuntos omega-límite para flujos analíticos sobre la esfera, el plano y el plano proyectivo así como avanzar en la caracterización de estos conjuntos para flujos analíticos definidos en abiertos del plano. \n\t\t\t\t In broad terms, this dissertation intends to investigate the effect of the analyticity on the the field of continuous dynamical systems of dimension 2, that is, what dynamical phenomena appear when the function defining such a system is analytic. Being more concrete, we aim to advance in the study of the topological nature of the flows associated to real analytic vector fields on surfaces with the following four objectives.\n\n\t\t\t\t OBJECTIVE 1. The topological classification of unstable global attractors for flows associated to polynomial vector fields on the plane.\n\n\t\t\t\t OBJECTIVE 2. The topological characterization of the omega-limit sets for flows associated to analytic vector fields on open subsets of the sphere and the projective plane.\n\n\t\t\t\t OBJECTIVE 3. The topological characterization of the limit periodic sets for families of flows associated to polynomial vector fields on the plane.\n\n\t\t\t\t OBJECTIVE 4. The study of the flows associated to analytic vector fields on surfaces with the property of having all their orbits dense (the so-called minimal flows).\n\n\t\t\t\t Regarding the methodology, the research was carried out in the Department of Mathematics of the University of Murcia, under the support of the Research Group of Dynamic Systems of the Region of Murcia. The student has actively participated in the scientific activities developed by this group and has presented his work to the scientific community in different congresses (via oral presentations and posters). At the same time, the student has enjoyed short research visits at the University of Toronto in Canada, the University of Toulouse in France and the Instituto de Ciencias Matemáticas in Madrid (ICMAT) and two long stays (four months each) at ICMAT itself and at the University of Plymouth in the United Kingdom. This last stay allows to apply for the Mención Internacional de Doctorado.\n\n\t\t\t\t The research has led to the presented PhD Thesis, which attacks the previous four objectives, compiling research papers that the author of the Thesis has done in collaboration with its director, Victor Jiménez, as well as André Belotto, Daniel Peralta-Salas and Gabriel Soler.\n\n\t\t\t\t In collaboration with Víctor Jiménez, it has been possible to give the complete topological classification referred to in the first of the objectives above; in the same way, in collaboration with André Belotto, the topological characterization that corresponds to the second of the objectives has been completed. In a joint work with Daniel Peralta-Salas and Gabirel Soler, the fourth of the objectives was attacked, resulting in a complete classification of all orientable and non-orientable surfaces of finite genus that admit minimal analytical flows and presenting an example of non-orientable surface of infinite genus with the same property. Finally, in relation to the third objective, and also in collaboration with Víctor Jiménez, it has been possible to complete the proof of the topological characterization of the omega-limit sets for analytical flows on the sphere, the plane and the projective plane as well as to advance in the characterization of these sets for analytical flows defined on open subsets of the plane.
