Blood vitamin levels and cognition: their relation during routine inpatient detoxification treatment of chronic alcohol dependents
Bibliographic record
Abstract
Objective: It is unclear whether vitamin blood levels impact cognitive function of alcohol dependents during routine alcohol detoxification treatment (RADT). Methods: To examine, we conduct a prospective, up to 3 weeks lasting study including 100 RADT-seeking adult chronic alcohol dependents without comorbidity requiring stabilization (intention-to-treat sample). Blood levels of various vitamins (thiamin, vitamin B6, B9, B12, holotranscobalamin, 25-OH cholecalciferol, homocysteine) and Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MOCA) are measured at admission and prior to regular discharge. Frontal Assessment Battery (FAB) is carried out at admission. All patients should receive pharmacological alcohol withdrawal syndrome treatment as needed and are supplemented by oral thiamin (200 mg/day) across the study. Regression of the vitamin levels on MOCA should be adjusted for age, gender, and clinical covariates before investigating for causal relation by mediation analysis

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; both teacher heads agree on what is shown here.
