In the Central Market of San Pedro in the city of Cusco in recent years has been including as an option for tourists to visit, in this way the market has been developed touristically. Today, faced with the new demands of foreign tourists, who seek multi-thematic niches. The San Pedro market does not have adequate infrastructure. The objective of this research work is to determine the quality of service of the tourist of the third age, likewise it has been determined that there is an inadequate quality of service which should be improved by implementing new proposals and action plans which change this reality. First chapter, includes the approach of the problem, which describes the approach under investigation, formulation of the problem, justification, the objectives of the research and the delimitation of the study; having as a research question; How is the quality of tourist service and the degree of satisfaction of the tourist of the third age related to visiting the textile section of the San Pedro market in the city of Cusco - in the second quarter of 2016? Second chapter, refers to the theoretical framework, where we address the background of the research, the theoretical basis, hypotheses, variables and definition of basic terms. As they are concepts about theories of satisfaction, service, quality, the development of tourism and others that will help to have a clearer and wider idea about the subject of the level of satisfaction of quality of the tourists of the third age. Third chapter, below we address the research methodology used for the development of this thesis was, the basic noun type, non-experimental, descriptive correlate, because it is about measuring and evaluating the relationship of two variables: quality of service and degree of satisfaction of the tourists of the third age who arrive to visit the section of textilería of the market of San Pedro of the city of the Cusco; the research includes: research design, population and sample; techniques and instruments, processing and analysis of data and finally the schedule of activities and the consistency matrix. Fourth chapter, then the results of the research that contains the analysis and the findings and important recommendations of the research work are presented; performing the analysis by statistical tables, about the questions raised about the level of satisfaction and quality on the part of the tourists of the third age who arrive to visit the textile section of the market of San Pedro of the city of Cusco; that in conclusion there is a 72.5% of the respondents; They did not find an adequate satisfaction to their needs, when visiting this textile area of the San Pedro market in the city of Cusco. Fifth chapter, in which the Discussion of the thesis will take place, with the description of the most relevant, significant findings, the limitations of the study and having conclusions as they are; it has been identified that the textile area of the San Pedro Market is not adequate; for the reception of national and foreign tourists; because it does not have the adequate infrastructure for the sale of textiles and in the same way; even the personnel dedicated to this sale activity, is not qualified. It has been concluded of the tourists that visit this area, they are foreigners; which leads to the people dedicated to the sale of these textiles, should be more prepared at the time of having this contact with the tourist, and thus be prepared, to offer their products. Because very few of them handle a basic English language. It was possible to identify actions of great importance, in terms of improving the quality of the service that should be offered in this area of San Pedro Market Textiles; but currently it is seen that most of the owners of these positions lack a service vocation, but with the action of public and private entities together, they will help improve the quality of the service in the Textiles area of the San Pedro Market, since they must take greater care when interacting with tourists of the third age, since they seek full satisfaction in the service they acquire.
