Abstract
The "Cartierdoc" was a Canadian vessel of 1919 gross ton. She was built in Great Britain in 1928 by Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson, Ltd. She was owned by N. M. Paterson Steamships, Ltd, from 1928 to 1961. She was variously owned by Marine Salvage, Ltd. of Port Colborne, Ontario; Tank Truck Transport, Ltd. of Point Edward, Ontario; Medusa Portland Cement of Charlevoix, Michigan; and Bultema Dock and Dredge of Muskegon, Michigan. In 1963, she was renamed the "Chembarge No. 3." In the summer of 1969, she was sunk at South Haven, Michigan to serve as a temporary breakwater.
