Abstract
Cette étude a pour objectif d'identifier les caractéristiques des agressions sexuelles, individuelles et familiales qui prédisent l'abandon d'une thérapie de groupe pour adolescentes agressées sexuellement. L'échantillon est composé de 116 adolescentes, âgées entre 12 et 17 ans (M = 14,63), qui participent à une thérapie de groupe dispensée dans trois centres d'intervention du Québec. Le taux d'abandon est de 19,8%. Les résultats des analyses univariées démontrent que les adolescentes qui abandonnent la thérapie présentent un plus haut niveau de bouleversement face à l'agression sexuelle vécue ainsi que davantage de difficultés comportementales, dont des problèmes extériorisés, des comportements de délinquance et des problèmes sociaux, que celles qui la complète. Selon les résultats de l'analyse multivariée, le niveau de bouleversement face à l'agression sexuelle vécue et les comportements délinquants prédisent l'abandon.
