La prospection réalisée cette année concerne deux communes situées sur le plateau corrézien. La première dépend du canton de Corrèze, la seconde du canton de Lapleau.Jouxtant la voie romaine de Lyon à Bordeaux, située non loin du massif des Monédières, d’une superficie de 2 723 ha, la commune de Vitrac-sur-Montane est riche en vestiges archéologiques.
