Abstract
Amb el darrer comunicat oficial de guerra, d'1 d'abril de 1939, es posava fi a la Guerra d'Espanya, instaurant-se un Estat totalitari que portaria a terme una repressió política i moral que dividiria el país en vencedors i vençuts. D'aquest totalitarisme es derivà un monisme moral, els fonaments ideològics del qual foren el feixisme, amb la Falange i la Sección Femenina, i l'Església Catòlica, amb encara més preponderància que el feixisme. Amb aquesta base, es configurà el model de què havia de ser la bona mare i esposa, característiques de la perfecta espanyola. No podia haver resultat d'una altra manera, ja que amb l'imperant nacionalcatolicisme tota dona que volguera ser considerada com a bona espanyola, com a bona catòlica i com a dona decent, que passava per ser tot una mateixa cosa, havia de fer seus els hipòcrites preceptes morals què delimitaven, en tot, quina havia de ser la seua conducta i el seu comportament. D'aquesta manera, per una banda, fou la Sección Femenina l'encarregada del procés de socialització per configurar la construcció del gènere femení, què es va veure reduït al matrimoni i a la maternitat. Fora d'aquestes dues opcions no hi havia realització possible per a la bona i decent espanyola. Tot el que quedava fora d'aquest binomi era immoral, i el més immoral era la deshonra causada per la prostitució. I per una altra, fou el Patronato de Protección a la Mujer l'organisme encarregat de la lluita contra la prostitució.
