The objective of this work was to study testicular descent in Labrador Retriever dogs and also the age of these dogs at puberty and sexual maturity. The testicles were not detectable at the inguinal area at two days after birth, but on the tenth week (10 + 0.44) after birth they were palpable in the neck region of the scrotum and remained so detected to the twelfth week (12 + 0.78). The testicles were detected proximal to the scrotum from the thirteenth week (13 + 0.78) to the fifteenth week (15 + 0.78). The testicles became palpable in the scrotum at the sixteenth week (16 + 0.78). The considered puberty began when the first spermatozoa appeared in the ejaculate and it happened at the age of twenty nine weeks (29 + 0.54). By the regression analysis, in the post pubertal phase, the ejaculate showed a decrease in the percentage of major and of total defects, and on the other hand an increase of the progressive motility, spermatozoa waves movements, sperm vigor, spermatozoa concentration and total number of spermatozoa. At the age of forty three weeks (43 + 1.12) the dogs achieved sexual maturity.
