Abstract
This work is dedicated to the expansion strategy of exports of mazapan handicrafts from Calderon to Ottawa – Canada with the principal aim to find out the essentials of the business, its history, the factors of success or failure, strategies and goals. We have developed an innovative proposal such as an expansion strategy that will enable a new perspective for the international business environment, and will allow to identify the export process applied to the crafts of marzipan through investigation of new markets. For proper development of the export of handicrafts to Ottawa-Canada we have analyzed different strategies in order to select the best alternative that will allow us to access the target market with an easy entry of the product, without causing a representative risk for artisans of Calderon, more than that to identify which transport mechanisms are the most appropriate, to avoid any increasing process of investment margin for producers of handicrafts.
