ABSTRACT: «To address the growing challenges in bridge construction, the Accelerated Bridge Construction (ABC) method stands out as an innovative approach. By focusing on the prefabrication of structural components in a factory followed by rapid on-site assembly, ABC significantly reduces construction timelines. This technique not only ensures higher quality and durability of the structures but also contributes to optimizing costs. This approach is particularly suitable for Quebec, where factors such as winter conditions, seismic activity, and heavy traffic complicate design and construction projects. The integration of high-performance materials, such as Ultra-High Performance Fibre Reinforced Concrete (UHPFRC), plays a crucial role in this approach. UHPFRC, with its remarkable strength and durability properties, proves to be a valuable asset. However, the widespread adoption of this innovative material requires the development of new design standards, especially for the connections of reinforcements in prefabricated elements. This research project focuses on the anchorage properties of reinforcement bars in UHPFRC. An experimental campaign was conducted to evaluate the influence of UHPFRC implementation during casting on anchorage properties. To observe the tensile failure modes of UHPFRC, high-strength A1035 steel reinforcements were used, available only in American dimensions. A series of tests comprising four standard Direct Tension Bond (DTB) specimens were conducted with A1035 No. 5 and 400W 15M reinforcing bars, aiming to study the capacities developed by specimens with potentially optimal implementation and preferential fibre orientation. The second part of the campaign involved a series of six UHPFRC blocks, each providing five specimens with A1035 No. 5 and 400W 15M reinforcing bars, to study the effect of UHPFRC implementation with horizontal and vertical formwork. Most specimens exhibited splitting failures perpendicular to the bars. Tensile stresses exceeding 700 MPa were achieved in most configurations. The results indicate that fibre orientation can vary significantly based on the implementation method, thereby affecting anchorage properties. Proper fibre orientation perpendicular to the reinforcement bars optimizes anchorage capacity, while incorrect orientation can reduce this capacity by up to 50%.»

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
