Abstract
L'objectif principal de cette étude était d'évaluer la santé environnementale de vergers de pommiers en lutte intégrée et biologique au Québec en utilisant l'asymétrie fluctuante et de comparer cet outil à d'autres outils communément employés comme la densité de population d'une espèce animale ou la diversité de la faune. Le concept de la santé environnementale est considéré dans cette étude comme une mesure de l'état d'un environnement par rapport aux besoins d'une ou de plusieurs espèces. Durant les étés 1999 et 2000, des coléoptères terrestres ont été capturés à l'aide de pièges-fosses sur 9 vergers situés en Estrie et en Montérégie, 4 étant des vergers certifiés biologiques et 5 pratiquant la lutte intégrée. Nous avons dénombré les individus de l'espèce de coléoptère Pterostichus melanarius Illiger, prédatrice de certaines espèces nuisibles des pommiers, pour comparer la densité de population entre les différents vergers en 1999 et 2000. En 2000, tous les coléoptères ont été capturés, dénombrés et identifiés à l'espèce pour l'étude de biodiversité."--Résumé abrégé par UMI.
