RÉSUMÉ : Dans les communautés isolées, en général l'électricité est produite par des génératrices diesel, car la connexion aux réseaux centraux de distribution est difficile et onéreuse. Les génératrices diesel dont le fonctionnement requiert l'utilisation de larges quantités de combustibles fossiles posent de sérieux problèmes environnementaux, sociaux et même économiques. Elles contribuent à l'émission des gaz à effet de serre et au réchauffement climatique. La solution proposée par la communauté scientifique est le recours aux énergies renouvelables, disponibles gratuitement, avec un très faible taux de pollution comparé aux génératrices diésel. L'installation d'un système d'énergie renouvelable (SER), tout particulièrement en sites isolés, rencontre des problèmes d'opération, entretien et diagnostic. En effet, il est très important de connaître le potentiel en énergie renouvelable pour savoir comment faire un compromis entre le coût du projet et son financement. Le but de ce mémoire est de faire l'étude d'une station hybride d'énergie renouvelable pour alimenter un camp en zone isolée, dans le nord du Québec; plus spécifiquement nous avons fait une étude de la faisabilité pour une alimentation en énergie électrique renouvelable d'une station de base en zone isolée avec une combinaison de modules Green Cube et proposé des solutions d'économies d'énergie afin de réduire la charge, de retarder l'utilisation des génératrices, mais avoir une grande pénétration des énergies renouvelables et contribuer à réduire l'émission des gaz à effet de serre. Le premier chapitre est une introduction générale ayant pour objectif de situer le projet dans son contexte. Le deuxième identifie les problématiques liées aux sites isolés. Le troisième expose la conception et modélisation du système à implanter, le quatrième qui est la caractérisation de la charge, et le dernier qui est une optimisation de la charge afin de proposer les solutions pour réduire considérablement la consommation de carburant diesel et conséquemment les émissions de GES (gaz à effet de serre). -- Mot(s) clé(s) en français : énergie renouvelable, Green Cube, optimisation, économie d'énergie, efficacité énergétique. --
\nABSTRACT : In remote communities, electricity is usually generated by diesel generators, as connection to central distribution networks is difficult or expensive. Diesel generators, which require large quantities of fossil fuels to operate, pose serious environmental, social and even economic problems. They contribute to greenhouse gas emissions and global warming. The solution proposed by the scientific community is the use of renewable energies, freely available, with a very low pollution rate compared to diesel generators. The installation of a renewable energy system (RES), especially in isolated sites, encounters problems of operation, maintenance and diagnosis. Indeed, it is very important to know the renewable energy potential in order to know how to make a compromise between the project cost and its financing. The purpose of this thesis is to study a hybrid renewable energy station to supply a camp in an isolated area in northern Quebec; more specifically, we have studied the feasibility of supplying renewable electrical energy to a base station in an isolated area with a Green Cube and proposed energy-saving solutions to reduce the load, delay the use of generators, but have a high penetration of renewable energy and in passing reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The first chapter is a general introduction with the objective of placing the project in its context. The second chapter deals with the problems related to the isolated sites, the third one talks about the design and modeling of the system to be implemented, the fourth one is the characterization of the load and the last one is an optimization of the load in order to propose the solutions to reduce considerably the load. -- Mot(s) clé(s) en anglais : renewable energy, Green Cube, optimization, energy saving, energy efficiency.
