Abstract

David McCullough rook the Braden Auditorium stage during the Founders Day Convocation. On February 14, we will draw the curtain on our 150th year when futurist Ray Kurzweil addresses the Convocation audience. Please consider this my personal invitation for you to attend the culminating event of our Sesq u icen tenn ial.I also want to thank you for participating in IUinois State's yearlong series of educational, cul rural, social and athletic events. Our speakers series brought thousands of people to campus, reaching well beyond our University and local community, to attract visitors from throughout the stare and even surrounding states. We created new partnerships with organizations like th e Illinois State Historical Society and strengthened relationships within the Twin Ci ties and McLean County. We released one Sesquicentennial book, a picrorial history, and got a preview of a historical text being written by one of our own distinguished professo rs.Homecoming 2007 was like no ocher, as we welcomed a football stadium full of alumni and friends and celebrated into the night with a red-tie gala, an event that raised more than $50,000 for student scholarships.Perhaps most significantly, as we reflected on our heritage, we also planned our fumre by working together to create the next version of Educating Illinois, our collective vis ion for cl1e future of Illinois' first public university.I hope yo u have enjoyed our celebration. And although our Sesquicentennial officially concludes on February 14, I hope yo u will contin ue to be an engaged participant in everything that Illinois Scare University has to offer.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
