Abstract
On a very blustery October afternoon,\nI met with Dr. Cornelius Jaenen over\nseveral cups of coffee to talk about the\nrole and activities of the CHA and to\nrecall his time as its president (1988-\n89). At the past annual general\nmeeting, he received the Queen\nElizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal\nas a past president. Dr. Jaenen\ncontinues to be a very busy member\nof the historical profession and he has\nbeen reserved as a key note speaker in\n2017 in Antwerp to celebrate the\nopening of the Red Star Line\nMuseum.
