Abstract
Ce mémoire a été réalisé en collaboration avec l'INO (Institut National d'Optique à Québec). L'INO a développé un appareil portatif de numérisation trois dimensions (3D) par triangulation active, opérable par balayage à la main. Les données fournies par le capteur sont sous forme de nuages de points 3D qui sont préalablement traités pour obtenir plusieurs surfaces dans l'espace 3D. Plusieurs balayages sont nécessaires pour numériser un objet entier. Chaque surface partielle de l'objet représentée par un modèle polygonal triangulaire explicite est transformée dans un domaine de représentation implicite appelé la fonction de champ scalaire 3D. Toutes les fonctions de champ individuelles sont intégrées en une seule fonction de champ globale qui représente la fusion des surfaces en une seule représentation implicite de l'objet. Une triangulation explicite est appliquée sur la fonction de champ globale pour revenir à une surface polygonale unique dans l'espace 3D qui représente l'ensemble de l'objet numérisé. \n \n
