Abstract
"En este trabajo, partiendo de la centralidad que adquiere el concepto amplio de currículum,en tanto dispositivo articulador de ciertas relaciones de saber-poder en la escuela, procuramosuna aproximación comparativa al área de la Educación Física, desde una mirada que articulael género y la producción de identidades sexuadas.Entendemos por currículum no sólo el marco prescriptivo que se materializa en el llamadocurrículo escrito, sino también el currículum en acción.La Educación Física constituye un campo rico en significaciones y principios de género,que la posicionan como uno de los espacios más fuertes, dentro del más amplio de las prácticasescolares, de construcción identitaria en torno a género y sexualidad. Estas significacionesy principios, entendidos en sentido amplio como producto de prácticas sociales e históricas,operan ordenando y clasificando el mundo y la experiencia de niñas y varones en formacompartimentada, fragmentada.En nuestro análisis, efectuado desde la perspectiva de género sobre la problemáticacurricular en el área de la Educación Física en Canadá y la Argentina, abordamos en primerlugar la problemática curricular tal como se visualiza en el currículo escrito, enfocando sobrela currícula de Educación de la Salud y Física de la provincia de Ontario (Canadá) y el áreade Educación Física de los CBC de la Argentina, para posteriormente avanzar sobre algunosindicios del currículum en acción, en el área."
