Abstract
Az Észak-Közép-budai-Centrum Új Szent János Kórház és Szakrendelő II. Belgyógyászati-Diabetológiai Osztálya 95 éves múltra tekint vissza. Ez az évforduló alkalmat teremt, hogy visszatekintsünk az eltelt időszakra, s felelevenítsük az osztály és az intézet egésze felnőttdiabetológiai tevékenységének főbb történéseit. A dolgozat áttekinti az osztály múltját, jelenét és felvázolja jövőképét. Bemutatja, hogyan szerveződött a korábbi alapokon 2021-ben a több osztály munkáját összehangoló Diabetes Centrum, amely fő feladatának tekinti a cukorbetegek élethosszig tartó, legmagasabb szakmai szintű gondozását. E célkitűzés megvalósulását a teljes klinikai ellátásspektrumot biztosító centrumkórház interdiszciplináris háttere is segíti. | T he history of the II. Department for Internal Medicine-Diabetology of the North Buda New Saint Johns Central Hospital and Outpatient Unit looks back for 95 years. T his anniversary gives an opportunity to recall the past period and relive the main events of the adult diabetologic activities of the department and the institute. The paper reviews the department's past and present and outlines its vision for the future. It shows how the Diabetes Center, which coordinates the work of several departments, was organized on the previous basis in 2021, and whose main task is the lifelong care of diabetic patients at the highest professional level. The realization of this objective is also supported by the interdisciplinary background of the central hospital, which provides the entire spectrum of clinical care.
