Abstract
Chaque année, en France, on détecte 36 000 cas de cancers colorectaux et on déplore plus de 16 000 décès ; pour le cancer de la prostate, on compte 40 000 nouveaux cas et plus de 10 000 décès ; les accidents vasculaires représentent la 1ère cause de mortalité avec 280 000 accidents dont 130 000 infarctus du myocarde, responsable de 30 000 décès dans les 30 minutes ; la BPCO touche plus de 3,5 millions de personnes et est responsable de 16 000 décès chaque année, nombre qui devrait doubler dans les 10 ans à venir. Dans cette thèse, l'auteur rappelle tout d'abord le rôle du pharmacien d'officine avant de présenter une évolution probable de cette profession qui doit faire face aux baisses de marges, déremboursements et attaques du monopole. Dans une seconde partie, l'auteur s'appuie sur les pathologies précitées pour montrer l'intérêt d'un dépistage et d'une surveillance de celles-ci à l'officine grâce aux dispositifs médicaux d'auto-surveillance. Avec ses 4 millions de visiteurs quotidiens et son écoute appréciée, l'officine peut et doit jouer un rôle au coeur du système de prévention et de soin.
