Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

For the first time in 12 years, the New York Islanders lead in a playoff series after beating the Washington Capitals 4-1 in DC Wednesday night. Brock Nelson got the Isles on the board first, just 6 minutes into the game. Marcus Johansson would answer for the Caps just before the 1st period ended...but the second period belonged to New York. Ryan Strome scored at the 3:50 mark to make it 2-1...Josh Bailey added another for the Isles about 7 minutes later. Islander goalie Jaro Halak made 24 saves in the win. The Isles take a 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series...the last time the Islanders led ANY playoff series was back in 2003 against the Ottawa Senators.

Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
