This research project aims to offer information about the development of coordination skills \nthrough adapted traditional games. Traditional games play an integral role in the development of \nchildren's coordination skills, covering physical, cognitive and social aspects. In addition, it \ncontributes to the preservation of culture and the promotion of active and healthy lifestyles. \nTherefore, it is important to value and encourage the practice of these games in children's \neducation. Through extensive bibliographic research from which fundamental ideas about the two \nvariables were taken and field work where there was a 4-month intervention in a population of 15 \nbasic general education students from the “San Isidro Labrador” school in the city of Ambato. , in \nwhich different traditional games from Ecuador were applied to which coordination techniques and \nsports materials were adapted. The 3JS test was applied as a research tool, which produced a \nrelatively low score as the first result during the pre-test, determining that the study population did \nnot have a good development of their coordination skills, however after the intervention period \nwhere Adapted traditional games were applied during the hours of physical education, the \napplication of the test was carried out again which yielded new results, where there was an evident \nimprovement in their coordination skills. The research was carried out with a population of 15 \nstudents, who are between 8 and 9 years old, belonging to basic general education, of which 60% \nare male and 40% are female, N = Sample , N = 15 = students, 15 = 100%, the non-parametric \nWilcoxon T test was applied where the significance value of the 7 evaluations was 0.00 less than \n0.05, showing that adapted traditional games do improve coordination skills in the Physical \nEducation class, allowing research to be a contribution to knowledge, to contribute and improve \ncoordination development, also taking into account the participation of children in the physical and \nsports activities developed in the Physical Education class.
