Abstract
L'intégration et l'adaptation d'une personne immigrante à la société d'accueil peuvent être influencées par de nombreux facteurs. La trajectoire migratoire et la situation de couple mixte constituant les deux principaux thèmes de cette recherche, nous analysons leur impact sur ces processus. L'intérêt de cette recherche pour le couple mixte est de cerner l'influence du type de migration ainsi que de l'accueil reçu dans la société d'accueil sur l'adaptation et l'intégration du partenaire immigrant. Notre étude s'intéresse particulièrement à la fonction de relais du partenaire autochtone qui favorise une adaptation mutuelle entre le conjoint immigrant et les membres de la société d'accueil ou, au contraire, y fait écran. Une comparaison entre le Québec et la Suisse nous permet aussi d'observer l'effet de la politique d'immigration de la société d'accueil sur l'intégration et l'adaptation du partenaire immigrant ainsi que sur la situation de couple mixte.
