Abstract
Depuis que l'impact du changement climatique sur la banquise arctique a commencé à \nêtre discuté dans les forums internationaux, au tournant du 21e \nsiècle, plusieurs \ncommentaires ont été publiés selon lesquels cela se traduirait rapidement par le \ndéveloppement de routes de transit massives à travers le passage du Nord-Ouest (PNO), la \nroute maritime du Nord (RMN) et le pont arctique reliant Churchill, sur les rives de la baie \nd'Hudson, à Mourmansk. Vingt ans plus tard, le transport maritime dans l'Arctique s'est en \neffet considérablement développé, mais l'image réelle est très différente de celle sur \nlaquelle les analystes ont misé. Le trafic au niveau national semble être le moteur de \nl'expansion du transport maritime dans l'Arctique, tandis que le transit demeure marginal. \nQuelles sont les principales caractéristiques de la navigation dans l'Arctique à l'heure \nactuelle et comment l'industrie s'est-elle adaptée, selon la région? Les résultats montrent \ndes évolutions contrastées le long de la RMN, dans l'Arctique canadien et dans les eaux \ngroenlandaises.
