Abstract
La politique commerciale de l'Union Européenne, un domaine très technique et généralement peu politisé, est sous le feu des critiques depuis plusieurs années. Au croisement d'une crise géopolitique (montée en puissance des pays émergents), économique et écologique, l'agenda européen d'accords de libre-échange européenne engendre des réactions protectionnistes. Dans ce contexte, nous chercherons à comprendre le bien-fondé d'un accord de libre-échange tel que le CETA (accord commercial entre l'UE et le Canada) à partir d'indicateurs alternatifs au PIB, à savoir le Happy Planet Index et le Sustainable Society Index.
