Abstract
La machine est à la fois ce qui nous permet dâéchapper à lâesclavage des besoins et ce qui nous y confine. Elle apparaît partout dans les Mille Plateaux de Deleuze et Guattari, mais je propose dây réfléchir plutôt à travers la collection de textes rassemblés par Deleuze en 1953 sous le titre Instincts et Institutions. Je les utiliserai comme clés de lecture de rapports concrets aux choses mécaniques, en mâappuyant sur une série dâexemples issus de lieux et dâobjets contemporains, ainsi que sur des exemples fictifs, tirés notamment de lâimaginaire de Franz Kafka, souvent évoqué dans les écrits ultérieurs de Deleuze. Ceux-ci me permettront dâintroduire la notion de lâempreinte, que je souhaite proposer comme outil de compréhension du désir, et du dépassement de la machine.
