Abstract
La Institución Educativa Distrital La Estancia San Isidro Labrador de carácter oficial publica se encuentra ubicada en la localidad de Ciudad Bolívar, en el barrio La Estancia. Imparte educación a más de 2500 estudiantes desde los grados de preescolar a once en tres jornadas: mañana, tarde y noche, con convenio con el SENA y con comedor escolar. Cuenta con un equipo directivo entre los cuales se encuentra el Departamento de Orientación y Educación especial. La población a la que brinda el servicio de educación se encuentra sujeta a diferentes necesidades sociales y económicas, muchos de ellos provenientes de población en situación de desplazamiento, el sector está marcado por situaciones de violencia en los barrios aledaños y el microtráfico de estupefacientes aspecto que impacta en cierta medida a la institución. Actualmente pertenece a los colegios de la localidad que tiene el programa de inclusión educativa por lo que alberga a la población en situación de discapacidad de tipo cognitivo y algunos sensoriales, pero este proceso de inclusión en sí mismo no ha sido fácil en la institución por barreras que se han detectado tanto administrativas, logísticas como pedagógicas y convivenciales, sin mencionar las necesidades de tipo psicosocial en donde se encuentra la rotación de menores con discapacidad por la poca adaptación al contexto educativo y la carencia de redes sociales de apoyo.
