Abstract
Afin de répondre aux aspirations égalitaires des gais et lesbiennes, l’Assemblée Nationale du \nQuébec a adopté à l’unanimité, le 24 juin 2002, la Loi instituant l’union civile et établissant de \nnouvelles règles de filiation (L.Q. 2002, c. 6). La précipitation avec laquelle les autorités étatiques \nont agi dans ce dossier n’aura pas permis un débat public sur les modifications apportées au \ncadre juridique de la procréation médicalement assistée. Dans cette perspective, l’auteur de cet \narticle décrit les lacunes du cadre juridique nouvellement institué et les nombreuses questions \njuridiques et éthiques laissées en suspens par le législateur.
