Abstract
Ce rapport de recherche est le résultat d’une étude qualitative exploratoire réalisée dans trois communautés du Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean où des Initiatives de travail de milieu auprès des aînés en situation de vulnérabilité ont vu le jour au cours de l’été et de l’automne 2014. Cette étude visait à illustrer comment ce type d’intervention s’implante au sein des communautés et à documenter ses retombées auprès des personnes âgées, des organismes communautaires promoteurs des initiatives de travail de milieu et des communautés en général. Ce rapport propose un bilan succinct du contexte actuel du soutien et de la prise en charge des personnes âgées fragilisées et vulnérables ainsi que sur le concept du travail de milieu auprès des aînés. Pour ensuite exposer les faits saillants du discours des trois types de répondants ayant participé à cette étude ainsi que des extraits de comptes rendus exhaustifs.
