Abstract
Notre étude porte sur le changement qualitatif qu'a subi la recherche universitaire au cours des dix dernières années: Dans une dynamique de reproduction et d'adaptation que, depuis les années 80 au Québec et au Canada, la recherche universitaire a vu changé sa mission de création de culture par les avantages économiques qu’elle peut générer. En effet, la parution des politiques publiques visant le rapprochement entre l'Université et l'industrie en Recherche et Développement (R&D) a changé sensiblement le rôle de cette activité à l’intérieur de la société: les gouvernements fédéral et provincial ont fait du partenariat université-industrie un des secteurs stratégiques d’intérêt national pour la conquête commerciale des marchés. Il s’agit donc d’une recherche universitaire ayant comme objet l’amélioration de la performance économique et la capacité concurrentielle des industries par le moyen de la collaboration scientifique. Ce partenariat transforme ainsi l’université et sa recherche en enjeux de la productivité économique.
