Abstract
Procedures and working methods in the traditional pottery of Bailén (Jaén) have undergone a big change since the second half of the 20th century. Most of the ancient operations have been mechanized and this has caused the disappearance of tools, materials and vocabulary. However, the tradition has not disappeared; a group of potters keep alive the essence of the craft and their ancestors.
