Abstract
Si les concepteurs et les constructeurs pouvaient voir comment leur enveloppe du bâtiment réagit aux surcharges climatiques (chaleur, air, humidité) avant que le bâtiment ne soit construit, est-ce qu'ils la concevraient différemment? La question semble purement hypothétique, cependant les chercheurs du programme Enveloppe et structure du bâtiment de l'IRC ont conçu un outil informatique qui peutcomparer la réponse hygrothermique de différents types de mur sous différents climats. Ils ont même récemment mis au point une version simplifiée (unidimensionnelle) de leur outil de modélisation hygrothermique, baptisé hygIRC-1D qui sera disponible au public en 2004.
