Tarihi olayları anlatırken olayların geçtiği alanın coğrafi özelliklerini de dikkate almalıyız. Çünkü o tarihi olay, o coğrafyanın ürünü olup tarihi olaylar o coğrafyaya aittir. Coğrafi yapısı itibariyle fiziki zorlukların oluşturduğu Alamut Kalesi içinde oluşan Hasan Sabbah ekolüne de yansımıştır. Bu çalışmamızda Alamût Kalesine yer verilerek, kalenin coğrafî yapısı, nerede olduğu üzerinde durulmuş olup Alamût Kalesinin önemi ve neden bu kalenin Hasan Sabbah tarafından seçildiğine de değinildi. Şuana kadar Türkiyedeki çalışmalarda yer verilmeyen Alamût Kalesine ait kütüphanedeki bazı değerli eserlerden ve yazarlarından da bahsedilmiştir. Ayrıca tarihte İsmâililerin en önemli simalarından Hasan Sabbah’ın kaleye yerleşmesinden ve İsmâilî mezhebini yaymaya çalışmasından da bu makalede bahsedilmiştir.
