Abstract
Planned Parenthood's suing Arkansas for cutting its Medicaid funding. The Republican governor'd ordered the Medicaid contract canceled because of videos made by an anti-abortion group--- they claimed Planned Parent hood was selling aborted fetal tissue. Planned Parenthood's lawsuit's asking a judge to block the cancellation. Its C-E-O for the Heartland says Arkansas needs healthcare, not more politics. She points out that the state only has two clinics, but they saw more than four thousand patients last fiscal year and about a quarter of them were on Medicaid. Arkansas says Planned Parenthood's gotten more than 51-thousand dollars in Medicaid payments over the past fiscal year. But that was all for family planning and medical services, not abortions. The governor says he expected the lawsuit....but he feels he did the right thing to \reflect Arkansas' values\.
