Abstract
El barrio de Les Roquetes al cual pertenece la calle Alcántara ha sufrido una mejora significativa en los últimos años. El proceso de remodelación llevado a cabo consiste en la reurbanización de los viales existentes dotando al barrio de una red de calles totalmente modernizada y adaptada donde se da más protagonismo al peatón creando aceras más anchas y accesos para personas discapacitadas. El objeto del proyecto es la reurbanización de la calle Alcántara en el tramo que va desde la calle Quarter de Simancas hasta la calle Les Torres. Se dotará a la calle de nuevos servicios y se renovarán los servicios existentes incluyendo el alcantarillado. Se convertirá en una calle peatonal con aceras más anchas y de un solo carril de circulación apto para transporte público y vecinos. Se incluirá una previsión para la futura implantación de fibra óptica en el barrio y también se instalará una red de riego por goteo para abastecer los ejemplares de Pissard de nueva plantación.
