Abstract
Esta investigación tiene por objeto presentar un modelo de Cuadro de Mando Integral de tecnologías de la información o CMI –TI, como se le denominará en adelante, a fin de determinar la factibilidad de la aplicación de las perspectivas del CMI - TI (IT BSC) dentro de la organización gubernamental INEI – ODEI Lambayeque y proveer de herramientas que sirvan de apoyo a los directivos en la evaluación periódica de los objetivos establecidos y el análisis de la situación en tiempo real. Es importante señalar que esta tesis está fundamentada en el pilar medición del desempeño de las tecnologías de información que pertenecen al marco de gobierno de COBIT, siendo el CMI TI uno de estos pilares, que cuenta con cuatro perspectivas asignadas como la orientación al usuario, la contribución al negocio, la excelencia operacional y la orientación al futuro. El tipo de investigación que se realizó fue de carácter cuantitativo, siendo a su vez prospectiva, transversal y observacional; y desarrollada a un nivel descriptivo, por lo que no requirió de una contrastación de hipótesis, así mismo los métodos de recolección de datos considerados como cuestionarios, encuestas, checklist, reportes del sistema, entre otros, permitieron determinar la variable principal, que en adelante será denominada gestión estratégica de tecnologías de información. Gracias a las herramientas de procesamiento de información se realizaron tabulaciones con los principales descriptivos, gráficos estadísticos para la presentación de resultados, a fin de brindar una propuesta sólida de CMI – TI en el INEI ODEI Lambayeque.
