Pratiques déclarées d’enseignement de l’orthographe lexicale au 2e cycle du primaire québécois

Abstract
Cet article vise à décrire les pratiques déclarées initiales en orthographe lexicale de sept enseignantes du 2e cycle qui participent à une recherche-action sur les pratiques d'enseignement d’orthographe lexicale intégrée. Au début de la recherche, les participantes ont rempli un questionnaire au sujet de la fréquence des pratiques en orthographe lexicale qu’elles mobilisent habituellement dans leur classe pendant l’année scolaire. Les résultats ont fait l’objet d’une analyse descriptive. Trois catégories de pratiques liées à l’enseignement de l’orthographe lexicale sont documentées : l’étude de mots à partir de la liste orthographique, les pratiques d’enseignement formel ainsi que les pratiques évaluatives. Selon les résultats, les enseignantes déclarent mobiliser un grand nombre de pratiques d’enseignement, soit une moyenne de 9,71 pratiques différentes au cours d’une année scolaire. Parmi ces pratiques figure la dictée 0 faute, éprouvée par la recherche, mais qui est peu utilisée par les enseignantes. Or, malgré la remise en question de la dictée traditionnelle par la recherche, cette dernière occupe une place importante dans l’évaluation des connaissances orthographiques des élèves.
