Abstract
La Chaire du notariat a pour mission de promouvoir le développement et le rayonnement de l'institution du notariat. Comme chaire universitaire, cette mission s'accomplit notamment par la tenue d'activités scientifiques propices à la réflexion sur le droit et le notariat. C'est dans cette optique qu'ont été créées les Conférences Roger-Comtois. Ces conférences rendent hommage à un notaire exceptionnel, doyen, professeur émérite, président de la Chambre des notaires du Québec, qui a laissé sa trace au sein de la communauté juridique québécoise.
