Abstract
Es un trabajo de grado de maestría de corte cualitativo que se propone indagar y analizar las representaciones sociales de los y las estudiantes de aproximadamente 10 años de edad pertenecientes al grado quinto de la Institución Educativa Distrital Provincia de Quebec con relación a la violencia entre pares. Actualmente los estudios sobre intimidación escolar están en auge, sin embargo lo central en esta investigación es trabajar directamente con los y las estudiantes a partir de grupos focales para conocer la forma como interpretan y vivencian estas situaciones en el espacio escolar desde la configuración de sus representaciones sociales, teniendo en cuenta que éstas tienen un componente individual que está dado desde el propio desarrollo cognitivo y el proceso microgenético de la persona, y otro, que aporta a las relaciones interpersonales, los aprendizajes y los entornos de interacción del sujeto con su contexto histórico, social y cultural que desde luego influyen en dicha representación.
