Este proyecto describe las funciones de un Centro de Control de Tráfico Marítimo, así como de los requisitos técnicos y de instalación que debe cumplir la implantación de un sistema de sensor radar y de un sistema de presentación de información y gestión de tráfico de buques. Un Sistema de Tráfico Marítimo (VTS) tiene como función principal mejorar la seguridad marítima y de la navegación, garantizar la seguridad de la vida humana en el mar y la protección del medio marino.
